Fan love! Rihanna gets up close and personal with the Navy in the video for “Goodnight Gotham.”
The minute-long clip was shot in Paris in December 2014 prior to the release of her eighth album ANTI. Backed by the iconic Eiffel Tower, RiRi explains that she’s meeting fans and that “it’s the craziest thing” she’s ever done.
Then, in a moment that will surely go down as epic for her Navy, RiRi runs and connects with her adoring audience. The crowd mobs her with love and picks her up as she smiles. Meanwhile, “Goodnight Gotham” plays in the background.
The video comes just days after Rihanna tied Madonna for fourth-most singles on theBillboard Hot 100 after “Sex With Me” debuted at No. 97. This was her 57th entry, moving her just below Nicki Minaj (66), Taylor Swift (69), and Aretha Franklin (73).
Rihanna recently returned to Paris for her “ANTI World Tour,” which ends its European leg at the V Festival in England on Aug. 20 before returning to the U.S for Made in America.
After she wraps her tour, Rihanna is set to check into A&E’s “Bates Motel” as Marion Crane, the iconic character played by Janet Leigh in 1960’s Psycho.
